Dubois, WY to the Colter Bay Campground in the Grand Teton National Park - 60.12 miles
We started the morning at The Village Cafe for Buscuits & Gravy. The wind for the first half of the day might have been the strongest headwind thus far on the trip. STOP BLOWING! Our first stop was at the Lava Mountain Lodge Wilderness Boundary Restaurant to warm up and grab some goodies.
The road construction ended the pavement and we were forced to ride in a pilot vehicle. BOO! After the construction a few of us stopped at the Togwotee Mountain Lodge Exxon to warm up and get a few snacks. As we entered the park we saw a huge bison and a deer grazing in a field below. We next visited John Colter's Ranch House Restaurant-Bar & Cafe Court. The views of the Teton Mountains as breath taking as their steep, snow covered walls seem to jut up out of no where. We stopped by the visitor center to confirm that Jackson Lake does indeed freeze completely over, to the point where ice fisherman drive their snowmobiles over the lake. Sorry Mason ... victory is soo sweet! I grabbed a few dinner goodies at the Colter Bay General Store before setting up camp for the night at the Colter Bay Campground in the Grand Teton National Park
