Ordway, CO to Pueblo, CO - 74 miles
This morning Leanna, Mason, Becca, and I woke up at 4am and were packed and on our bikes by 4:30am. Our first stop was at the Loaf N Jug Conoco in Pueblo, CO. We spent the morning volunteering at the Lions Club pancake breakfast in Pueblo West. Thanks again to the Lions Club for the pancakes and for giving us an opportunity to volunteer. The Pueblo West wet parade is a one of a kind experience that I dont think ill ride through again. Becca and I rode through the crowd on our bikes and were soaked with water guns, slammed with ice buckets, and drenched from head to toe. The yearly event features the fire department vs. the people of Pueblo West in a head to head water fight showdown.
The four of us rode back to Pueblo to join the others at the river walk biketheUSforMS booth. I had dinner at Angelo's Pizza Parlor with Mason and Leanna before returning to the river walk to enjoy the soothing sounds of Collin Raye on stage and the city firework display. We are enjoying the holiday by staying at the Guest House Inn & STS for the night.
