We started the day early and refreshed after a well rested night in the AC of the Scenic Rivers Motel. A great sunrise ride this morning with muscle burning climbs & long downhills as we continue to work on the Ozark Mountains.
The top speed reached during the ride was 49.7 mph and we first stopped at Sarah's Family Restaurant in Eminence, MO for breakfast. We next stopped at Lehman's General Store in Summersville, MO for a quick pitcher of sweet tea. Don and I worked together throughout the day and were the first to arrive at the Hardees in Houston, MO (Texas County) at 11:47am. As a group we decided to spend another night in the comfort of a cool, comfortable, and rest friendly motel. After shaving my beard into a Hulk Hogan style handlebar mustache, a few of us ventured out into the heat and walked across the street for a late lunch at the Cozumel Mexican Restaurant. Tonight we are staying at the Southern Inn.
